History

Quincy BJJ is a T-Town MMA affiliate under Professor Jimmy Thompson (3rd Degree Blackbelt) and a member of Checkmat.  Quincy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s head coach is Professor Jeremy P. Seda (2nd Degree Blackbelt).  Also known as “Coach Pipes”, Jeremy started his martial arts training in Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate do at the age of 14, where he attained the rank of 2nd Kyu (2nd degree Brown belt). Jeremy’s passion had branched off into a few different styles always pursuing what was effective in self-defense, which is what ultimately led Jeremy to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. “Martial Arts is the reason for why I am who I am today and I really enjoy seeing the positive effects it has on young peoples’ lives. The discipline and humility I’ve gained from martial arts bled into every area of my life.  I’m absolutely amazed at how the Youth BJJ program has a way of changing both the students and coaches for the better.”
