Quincy BJJ is a T-Town MMA affiliate under BJJ Blackbelt Jimmy Thompson and a member of Checkmat and the Narrows Fight Team.  Quincy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s head coach is Jeremy P. Seda.  Also known as “Coach Pipes”, Jeremy started his martial arts training in Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate do at the age of 14, where he attained the rank of 2nd Kyu (2nd degree Brown belt). Jeremy’s passion had branched off into a few different styles always pursuing what was effective in self-defense, which is what ultimately led Jeremy to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. “Martial Arts is the reason for why I am who I am today and I really enjoy seeing the positive effects it has on young peoples’ lives. The discipline and humility I’ve gained from martial arts bled into every area of my life.  I’m absolutely amazed at how the Youth BJJ program has a way of changing both the students and coaches for the better.”

    • quincybjjadmin says:

      Hi Jesse,

I recommend you come in to one of our scheduled classes for a free drop-in. Just wear board-shorts and a compression shirt, rash guard or Under Armour. See you on the mats!

    • quincybjjadmin says:

Hi Bobby, I just need you and your friend to sign a Hold Harmless form (if you’re under 18, then I will need a parent signature) and your first class is free. The next scheduled class is on Sunday from 2:30-3:30. Hope to see you on the mats!

    • Christan says:

  14. brett says:

hi i was thinking about trying it out. i was just wondering what kind of gear to wear? Like if i need my wrestling shoes or whatever.

    • quincybjjadmin says:

Hi Brett, If you’re coming in on Sunday, then just shorts and an Under Amrmor/Rash Guard. Otherwise, the same will work if you come in on Monday or Wednesday. If you give us the head’s up, then we can probably bring one of the loaner gis.

      • David says:

Im 26. Will i be able to learn the skills.?

        • quincybjjadmin says:

I got serious about BJJ when I was 30, so I have no doubt in my mind that you’ll be able to get skilled in this sport.

          • David says:

Do you have beginner class for adults?

          • quincybjjadmin says:

Nothing for beginners, per se. Most of the time the intermediate and advanced students need improvement on basics as well, so drilling the same techniques for the whole class helps everyone, despite how much experience each student has. Come on in for a free drop-in to see what you think of our classes.

        • David says:

          What is the schedule ?

  15. Christan says:

Just curious if anyone that said they were very interested, has been in for the FREE drop in class?!?!?! If not, you’re definitely missing out!

  16. Josh Garti says:

Hi, I saw it said 6-17 year olds, is the class also for adults? I’m 26, I already have a gi from training in judo and tae kwon do, and have been wanting to add jiu jitsu under my belt and get back into martial arts.

    • quincybjjadmin says:

We do the Adults class immediately following the kids. Monday and Wednesday is Gi from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Sunday is No Gi from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
